Whether you’re an investor, inventor, leader, or manager, each aspect should be approached as an entrepreneur. As an entrepreneur, you are planning, balancing internal and external factors, creating marketing strategies, taking risks, and managing people and tasks all within limitations from logistics and operations to finances. Many elements need to be taken into account, from your goals and family to personal needs. In Three’s a Company: For Entrepreneurs and Entrepreneurs In the Making by Dr. Tsvika S. Ben-Porat, the reader will be given tips on best practices to avoid imbalance overload which can cause stress, health issues, being unproductive, wasted time, and loss of money. In this book, you will learn the pros and cons of your chosen path, keeping in mind that there must be balance from day-to-day to long-term operations. A question to ask before you start is what is your ultimate goal for beginning this journey? Is it financial independence, freedom, generational wealth, or something else? This would be a motivator on those days when you feel you have failed or feel unmotivated to continue.
In Three’s a Company by Dr. Tsvika S. Ben-Porat, I enjoyed the various steps like the project management lifecycle which considers everything to meet your stated goals. Ben-Porat challenges the reader to look at not only the impact of internal factors on the stated goal but the external as well. You must consider everything outside of the end goal. People tend not to seek balance as an entrepreneur but instead, they allow the drive of the desired goal to set the pace. This is what usually causes people to gain one thing at the expense of another, whether it be health, family, time, or money. Ben-Porat suggests being honest about what you know and don’t know, and then seeking out a coach or mentor to help guide you through the process. Also, the reader is given sample cases using the practices to learn how the process works. Business is hard but having the right tools and resources in place is ideal. Add this book to your library to begin or help you to work through your business journey.

Three’s a Company: For Entrepreneurs and Entrepreneurs in the Making by Dr. Tsvika S. Ben-Porat is a self-help business guide that explores entrepreneurship, emphasizing self-awareness in defining success. Over the course of sixteen distinct and interconnected sections, Dr. Ben-Porat details areas like sacrifices and success qualities, such as assertiveness and resilience, and covers various aspects of business ownership, including formal authority, effective management, outsourcing, risk management, and goal-driven management. The author discusses challenges in the inventor-to-entrepreneur transition, financial aspects, business planning, presentations, and even moving through the inevitability of occasional failure. The author stresses effective time management, managerial authority, employee motivation, conflict resolution, and leadership in organizational health, all while urging a balanced approach to corporate excellence.
Three’s a Company is an insightful and easy-to-follow guide in which Dr. Tsvika S. Ben-Porat harnesses years of experience, knowledge, and expertise and compiles it for contemporary entrepreneurs and those who possibly want to be one at some point in their lives. What I really liked about this book is that it is accessible. This is extremely important given that so many of the business guides I have gone through are written in a way that is not always reader-friendly. Here, the style feels akin to a conversation with a respected friend who genuinely wants us to have all the tools we need. With this in mind, the standouts for me are the practical advice on areas like a business plan and the presentation. Even better, Dr. Ben-Porat gives us first-impression tips on the twenty critical but woefully underestimated seconds of the “elevator pitch.” Overall, this is an insightful, educational, and useful book that will undeniably assist its readers in starting off on the right foot. Very highly recommended.

In the book, the author clearly explains the important points of entrepreneurship. To make these points come alive, the author includes zen stories and anecdotes. I liked these stories and anecdotes as they make the points easier to understand. “It seemed to come from the books themselves, a symphony of hushed voices, each vying for his attention, beckoning him closer.” Can books really speak? Or sing? In Dr. Tsvika Ben-Porat’s The Library of Lost Stories, young Leo is about to enter worlds of unfinished stories, magically beckoning to him in subtle whispers, begging him to make their stories complete, to be the heroes that haunt their pages, to meet with knights and dragons and all manner of magical creatures, as well as explorers and dreamers. He’s on a quest that will teach him about courage and empathy, but, most importantly, this quest will teach him about the importance and the incredible value of a good story.
Dr. Tsvika Ben-Porat’s middle-grade novel, The Library of Lost Stories, is an endearing and exciting adventure that will appeal to young readers who love a good story. There are stories within this story as Leo pursues an endless quest to weave his imagination into one story after another in this magical place, the Library of Lost Stories. Leo quickly immerses himself in the challenge, listening to the pleas from countless books, archived like any ‘normal’ library, but full of unfinished plots. There is magic at play in this library, but, then again, there is magic to be found in every book. It’s a great revelation when Leo discovers the potential found within each story he reads, and each story he completes. It’s a revelation of the power and the countless places each story can potentially transport the reader. These stories are a world of their own, with endings that can be beginnings for yet more stories not yet told; never-ending stories that can lead to so much more if the imagination takes flight. Sit back and enjoy this author’s magical voice as he weaves his own magic into a story, or, perhaps more accurately, multiple stories within a story. The illustrations are spectacular and full of the power of magic and imagination.
